We are the 1st BET Middle School Magnet in LAUSD and offer an exciting option for students interested in the world of business, entrepreneurship, and technology:
- In addition to a BET curriculum, we offer Career Technical Education (CTE). This high school and job readiness program has its own separate CTE standards and pathways in marketing, sales, and service.
- We are the 1st and only school to complete and pass the Entrepreneurship and Small Business (ESB) certification, an official certificate offered to adults alike and used to give job applicants opportunities (see BET Makes History 2023-2024).
- We are also the 1st middle school in the U.S. to advance to the New York National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in the top 3 across the nation and top 12 for the last 6 years and top 36 for 7 consecutive years (This level of competition has previously consisted of only high school students).
- We are multinational Virtual Enterprise: Junior Ventures and Games for Change Challenge champions (5 in the last 7 years)
- We are 4-time 1st place winners, with at least 3 BET students in the top 4 in the last 6 years at the Cal State University of Fullerton Titan Fast Business Pitch competition (middle school division 2018 to to 2023).
