NFTE

BET Magnet is proud to partner with NFTE (pronounced nifty). Founded in 1987 NFTE has worked with 10 countries and 17 U.S. communities. NFTE is an entrepreneurship education program taken during class and is designed to empower students to think like entrepreneurs and take control of their own future.

 

Toward the end of the year, professional judges from the business community evaluate student business plans and determine which students will proceed from classroom competitions to semi-finals, regional and the national level. Students can receive funds up to $25,000 to start their own businesses. As a result of their accomplishments, NFTE will create a short film about the students.
