1st Middle School to NFTE Regional Finals

We are proud to have a team of 6th grade students become "the first founders of a middle school business to be Regional Finalists" at the Annual Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by the Creative Artists Agency on May 17, 2016.

F & M Foldable Skateboard

Team Freddie Garcia and Michael Aceves, founders of F & M Foldable Skateboards, are the first middle school students to advance to the NFTE Regional Business Finals. During this round they competed against high school 12th graders. As 2nd place winners in the Semi-Finals, and 3rd place in the Regional Finals, they received a scholarship of $1,400 to launch their business.

Blob Dot: Audience Choice

Team Teresa Xiao, Kathy Lam, and Ivan Mendiola founded Blob Dot. Out of 1,606 NFTE high school and middle school students, Kathy and Teressa earned 1st place in the Semi-Final Youth Entrepreneur Challenge. The duo also made it to the Top 10 Audience Fast Pitch Annual Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge.
